Heel height politics

The argument

A low heel can be as ornamental as a stiletto if the last is a costume. A high heel can be as practical as a loafer if the platform is honest and the breast of the heel sits under the ankle instead of behind it.

I do not rank centimeters. I ask three questions:

1. Can you stand still in it without performing balance. 2. Does the heel strike land where the last promised. 3. Will you still choose it when nobody is taking a picture.

If the answer to three is no, it does not go on the Index. If it only works in the photo, it does not go on the Index.

What I keep

Somewhere between 55 and 75 millimeters for evening, with a waist that does not collapse. For day: a stacked leather heel you could explain to a cobbler in one sentence.

What I cut

The 110mm that requires a car you do not have. The kitten that is actually a broken last. Anything described as "comfortable" in a caption and nowhere else.
